Can't Find Broadcom BCM4306 WLAN Controller

Ok I ran /sbin/lspci to get my specs on my internal wireless card that was always recognized on wlan0 with Debian and Ubuntu and got this:

00:09.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)

I've tried ifconfig wlan0 up and dhclient and they can't seem to find anything on that interface?

Ps- My box is a Compaq Presario 2500 if that helps...

My bad it does work, but its on eth0 not wlan0...

You can use "iwconfig" to have a look to your wifi interface
