Both models "mbp3" and "macpro" doesn't work. Exact model is ACL885.

    Question

I heard that it will work with an updated kernel? If anyone has got it working I would be very interested to know

I bought a 17" MBP 3.2 recently (2.6ghz/4gb/512mb video) and have only had the time to pop in the USB @ boot, which of course did nothing but waste time. I should have some time to figure out how to get it to boot soon, but I sense BT3 final will be out in the near future. I'll post my results either way.

I got my MBP 17"/2,5GHz/4GB a month ago, and was not able to boot the current BT3 from usb trying a few ways to go about. It did boot from cd, but the built in BCM43xx wasn't even recognised (I'm curious regarding the wiki that says this version of the MBP17 should work out of the box). Looking greatly forward to following your advances!

Yeah it would be nice to see sound on this laptop.
And airport extreme also. Not to monitor/inject. Just to connect to my wifi network. Is it working for you guys? Mines a broadcrap not an atheros so I'm using my usb dongle for that. If i want to use both internet and dongle for monitor/injecting I run it in a VMware machine and share the host connection.
Would be nice to be able to use both
