The first thing that sticks out, is that it would be make install at the end.
The other thing is that you usually need to configure before the make.
-
Make install
I did the make install previous and also Make ; install and still have come up with the same error message. But configuring is a new one that no one has told me. I am a linux newb
but am learning as i go compared to ignorant people who want to a straight answer that will fix all there problems with one click. How do i go about configuring??

first off it would be helpful to know what drivers your using exactly. That particular chipset requires a patch. Also your supposed to remove the old module before installing the new one. Lastly the madwifi drivers dont have a configure script. just make && make install.

Patch?
Ive been looking for a while and could not find anything on a patch ive looked in a bout every forum and no one is having the problem i am having....How do i go about identifying the Driver i need and the patch.. And prior to make install i do a make clean and remove all the old files from recent attempts and still get the same error message..... Sorry about all this
