It uses the Ralink

RT257x or RT267x chipset.

I tried to use these drivers only to realize...
neither of these chipsets have 802.11n support, so I went to ralink and I've compiled the only USBn drivers provided by ralink but it seems weird that the hawking tech support wouldn't know they're own products chipset, this seems to be working despite it with a little bit of tweaking, however im still having only limited success.Firstly Wlassistant occasionally crashes and gives all 6 stars for every AP in range. I've also tried the Rutilt from the Rt2x00 project but they don't provide support for this chipset. Though I am mostly able to make a decent connection to my AP another issue that's been bothering me

There is seemingly very little available support for this chipset. I've done some intensive googling on the matter. If anyone can shed more light on the situation it would greatly appreciated, thanks.

Firstly those wireless assistants are crap... to say the least.

Use the command line if you want more control and stability.

iwconfig

I also just use the wifi usb stick with ralink 2870 chip. I think we discuss here details since rt2x00 team has not start to maintain the driver yet.

i found a driver in a .lzm module on a website.. but it is China's Wireless Forum and my chinese is bad.

the name of the module is "rt2870sta.lzm".... someone know it?

use google for the correct link
