Try this.
modprobe hostap_cs
Cant help with the automatic detection issue, I run into the same thing from time to time on a T-40 and just work around it by doing it manually or scripting it.
Hello,
I just recently did a harddrive install on a IBM Thinkpad r31 lappy.
iwconfig gets the following error
l0 no wireless extentions
eth0 no wireless extentions
What am I doing wrong?
My card is a NL-2511CD PLUS EXT2 (prizm chipset) I used it with Auditor just fine.
Thanks
It apears that backtrack 3 is not detecting my PCMCIA controller. Auditor on a live cd does, How can Import those settings or drivers to work in backtrack?![]()
Try this.
modprobe hostap_cs
Cant help with the automatic detection issue, I run into the same thing from time to time on a T-40 and just work around it by doing it manually or scripting it.
Now I can see 802.11 cards.
Not sure why it works but it does... too bad I can automate that..
Thanks![]()
I tried to figure out what hostap_cs does, but the closest I could get was a description of the package hostap_utils which is utility programs for Host AP driver for Prism chipsets (which is what you have).
And I'm sure you could automate it somehow with a few lines of code, or the right line in the right config-file. I'm sorry I can't give you more to go on here, but I can tell you that it can be done somehow![]()
