WEP capabilities

How do I add wep? im using a broadcom chipset. Ive searched everywhere and came up with nothing

Have you tried to connect to a WEP enabled AP by chance?

ifconfig essid "name of AP" key thewepkey whateveryourinterfaceis(ath0, wlan0)

no i used iwconfig enc XXXXX mode managed essid XXXX channel X and modprobe broadcom ( I use a broadcom chipset) and it works. A little buggys although it quits after 5 min or so. Thanks for your replys !
