The new Nmap 4.76 and its new GUI front-end Zenmap
What's new...
Nmap 4.76 packs in more power with over 100 improvements, new functions and a vaster OS detection system.
Zenmap now even packs-in the much desired topology diagram, which is very useful in displaying nodes. A kinda of visual traceroute on a radial graph, etc.
Upgrading BT3 final's Nmap to version 4.76
1. Download the bzip file from url nmap.org/dist/nmap-4.76.tar.bz2
2. CD into the folder where you have saved the Bzip file
3. bzip2 -cd nmap-4.76.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
4. cd nmap-4.76
5. ./configure
6. make
7. su root
8. make install
This should work.
You can include the Zenmap icon in the BT3 menu by using Kmenu Editor and use command zenmap to call the GUI

Don't eat yellow snow
Please, can anyone make "lzm"-files for the modules folder,
or give me a tip to make my own.
I am on live-install and will put these into modules folder.
tnx
Worked beautifully. Thanks.![]()
Hawaii,
My post was to inform you guys of the latest Nmap download.
As you might have experienced upgrades usually take a long route to install and their instructions are not always functional as we like them to be.
Not in this case however. Nmap's worked just as fine...

I am sorry but I use the HDD install. Have you tried the persistent changes version.
