Hi.

I read the posts I could find across the forum and soldered an SMA-RP to the NetGear WPN511 Rangemax as shown here: socomms.com/contrib/WPN511.jpg
As seen on this pic, he also soldered the shield to the square shape right beside the 2 solder points, so I scratched this field free and did the same.

Sadly, I get a PWR of 24 without an antenna and 35 with it. Using the inbuilt ipw2200 I get a PWR of 190 for the same network.
Any suggestions? I read, some people cut off the original antennas... or should I just try to solder antenna and shield to bigger parts of the conducting path?
