Bump!
Anyone?
I still can start live USB with graphic mode, only text mode.
Now I have ubuntu installed and it works fine, so there must be something with the 1024x600 resolution or the graphic chipset driver...
Please help
Hi there, I just got my new netbook and I can't start any graphic mode with Backtrack 3, I use the USB edition.
I always get the same message no matter what I try:
It's a 8.9" widescreen 1024x600 pxCode:(WW) intel: No matching Device sectionfor instance (Bus ID PCI:0:2:1) found ... ... (EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such file or directory) (EE) intel(0): Failed to allocate framebuffer. Is your VideoRAM set too low?
I have updated the BIOS to the last version 0.3304.
I can't change the VideoRAM in BIOS, it has Intel 945 chip, with a default 8Mb allocation that dynamically changes if a video program want's to use more, or so it says.

There a lzm file that you'll need. It can me found here: hxxp://andrewchapman.net/images/stories/eee/901_net_gfx.lzm
The tut is for a Asus EEE 901 but works fine with an AA1 150 laptop.
ps. I removed the links because im not allowed to post it when i've less then 15 posts.
I have the USB Live Stick version of BT3 final and a Acer Aspire One with 1024x600 and Intel 950 Graphic chipset and can't get it to run.
"xconf" does make the screen blink and when it's finished it doesn't make any differece. "startx" (preselected KDE in the boot menu) brings an error graphic mode not available and no driver fits etc.
How can i get this to run?![]()
Work also with my Acer Aspire One D150thank you jurrian for the link
