Netgear WG111 or Belkin N/N1 drivers for BT3 ?
I have 3 wireless adapters.2 are borrowed (from my cousins ) !!
So i was wondering where I could get the drivers of Netgear WG111 or Belkin N or N1 for BT3 .
I had a rausb and it seemed to work perfectly until my bro's cousin wrenched the usb extension and the adapter fell apart and now the only way I can connect it is to pust it and hold it and thats not practical as I need both hands for the comp.Any ideas as to repair that adapter are also welcome .lol
I managed to load BT3 with VMWare player without any trouble so that was very good .
It would be ideal if you posted lsusb output with these dongles connected.
WG111 came out in 3 versions and 4 different chipsets. The first one I presume was probably Broadcom chipset (which may work with linux natively via mac80211). The second one that came out, initial release was Conexant prism54 softmac but later release of second version is realtek rtl8187l. The third version has realtek rtl8187b which isn't supported on linux natively.
ok thank you for reply

I know its version 3 but i'll give exact details 2mr.

* Windows Description - COM1
* Hardware ID - *PNP0501
* Device Category (Class) - Other devices

If thats not enough then please give me an application which I can use to identify which chip of the Wg111 it is.Currently I was using Unknown devices application.
