identifying wireless card
i am trying to identify the chipset of one of my wireless devices.
my integrated card is on the intel 855pm chipset, and i can connect to my network with no problem, however monitor mode is not supported when i input "airmon-ng".
i am hoping to use my belkin f5d7050 usb dongle for my monitoring needs, but there seems to be different versions and i do not know how to identify which version of the belkin f5d7050 chipset i have. help? por favor?

Start at the section (near the top) titled Determine the Chipset.
This has lots of resources and will help you to determine the chipset of your cards.
Generally you will need to view the results of a lspci command or lsusb
two v's for very verbose output#lspci -vv
