I'm thinking a lot more information is going to be needed in order to determine where the problem is occurring.
Where and what is it doing that makes you believe this?
hardware gets hung on bt2 and bt3 here is my hardware config. can anyone help thanks

Without further information, I can't say for sure, but if it's hanging during boot, try adding acpi=off to the end of the lilo boot for the version you are trying to boot (Hit the TAB key to edit during the boot loader... I have to do this with my toshiba.
