Question Error w. my CD key: Figuring the combinations

I tried to be as descriptive I could with the topic, however I think I failed miserably... haha!

I am hoping you guys can help me out with this! I installed backtrack on my primary drive and then formatted my secondary drive to put windows on it. I have a big problem though... When I wrote down my CD key (since I have an OEM version) I wrote it so sloppy that I got my 2's and Z's mixed up. So now I have the fun task of trying to figure out all the possibilities to plug in.

I was wondering if you guys know an easy way to compile a list of all of the possibilities. Here is the information I have.

The part of the CD key I'm stuck at is 4 characters long and the only 2 options for the characters are the letter Z or the number 2.

    Example:
    • 2zzz
    • z2zz
    • zz2z
    • zzz2

I know this is kind of off topic =\
If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

Just copy and paste the key and change the 4 characters.

There are only 24 possible combinations and it shouldn't take too long to try all of these.

I believe there are only 16 (4^2) combinations:
    Code:
    2222	zzzz
    222z	zzz2
    22zz	zz22
    2zzz	z222

    z2zz	2z22
    zz2z	22z2
    2z2z	z2z2

    2zz2	z22z
    Edit: List corrected, thanks KMDave.

    zzz2
    zzzz

    z22z
    2zz2
    What about 2z2z and z2z2 ?

Don't worry I see you repeated zzz2 and zzzz. A common error

2^4 is correct, I was wrongly assuming 4!

Ya that's what I get for doing it manually.

Didn't we just have this question, albeit dressed up slightly differently, the other day?

(I think it involved a Word file password?)

Maybe the guys are on the same course!

Why not just read it off of the COA ?
ALL licensed versions MUST have one on the case.

I have an OEM version. It came in an envelope with the CD key on that, however I'm moving to Japan in 3 weeks and I think it got thrown in a box somewhere =\ I can't find it. Thanks for all of the help guys! I appreciate it!
