    Default Ettercap.

I'm trying to sniff packets from the computer down stairs but not all packets are sniffed.

    e.g,
I logged into youtube on the victim's machine, typed username and password and got the following:
HTTP : 208.65.153.251:80 -> USER: username PASS: password INFO: youtube.com

I logged into myspace on the victim's machine, typed username and password and got nothing.
Got the same result for gmail and other websites (just a few websites "response")

I also tried to connect to a fake icq number and got no results on my ettercap.

Help? How can I make it sniff all kind of packets? (btw, on Targets->Protocol, it says 'all', so I guess that's cool)
I believe that there's a filter I should add or something, I really dunno..

    Thanks in advance.

Yep, I've got an empty file.
I also checked if this file really exists, and it turned it doesn't :S
Should I create this file and add these commands into it?

Thats odd that its empty. You using BT2 or BT3?? I haven't tried ettercap with BT3 .....YET. But in BT2 I didn't have to make this file.

Its the configuration file. Have you just tried to run ettercap first>>>then see if there was a etter.conf???

Hmm..I'm using Ubuntu actually, although I've tried to install BT2, but somewhy it couldn't boot it. Oh well, Ubuntu is good enough for me.

    Anyways,
I'm running ettercap atm, and just can't find this file.

    HHmmm,

Sorry, but I can't help you with Ubuntu. :S But this file, if you down;loaded and installed it correctly should be somewhere similar. Have you used you Ubuntu's "search" function to try to locate it?? Worth a shot no??

I found this file (sudo find / -name etter.conf)
    It's located in /etc/

Well, I'm editing it now and turning on the other computer.
I'll let you know the results ASAP (I'll edit this post)
