Hawking Hsb2 Info..
Does anyone have one of these?

I'm going to buy one today to see how well it works. 2 dd-wrt's and cantenna's are not working well enough. So I'm thinking of setting up ddwrt to a higher output, throw a ddwrt repeater in the middle and then using the hsb2 with my hwug1. We'll see how it works out.
Edit: Hm, it shows it attaching to router and AP's, but not to wifi cards with Sma jacks... Not sure if this will work..

It will work. I use to use 3 of those on my Airlink101 AWLC4130 PCMCIA card. I say use to because thats what fried my Dell c610 and all 3 of my amps,....and my motherbord,.......and all of my RAM. :P
I'm lucky thats all it fried!!

Yes, I got it last night and verified it works. Next i'm going to see how far away I can go and still crack my AP.

Only thing that drove me crazy about that device,... it that damn loud ultra high frequency EEEEEEEeeeeeeeee constantly!! (When you set it to 500mW. )
Drove me freaking batty! My Alfa is 500mW and it doesn't make a sound at all.
But yea spanky, you should notice quite a difference in your RX and TX powers. What you see, you can usually communicate with. (Within some reason)
