Default Live CD working, USB isnt...

I am able to use my backtrack 3 beta live cd on my hp pavilillion dv6000 laptop right out of the box, but when I try to use the usb version, it doesnt work. I copied my boot folder and bt3 folder into the root of usb drive. Does it need some special formatting or something? am I missing anything?

When I boot it just goes through the normal boot up process.

You need to run the bootinstall script in the boot folder.

Change your BIOS, or the hotkey while booting like F12.
Tell it to start from USB driver. Dont forget to run .bat on the USB stick to make it bootable.

I felt like bending the bars back, and ripping out the window frames and eating them. yes, eating them! Leaping, leaping, leaping! Colonics for everyone! All right! You dumb*sses. I'm a mental patient. I'm *supposed* to act out!
