    Default startx fix!

On my Dell Inspiron 1100 I found that even after xconf I was still getting the "no screens" error, I was confused because BackTrack2 worked perfectly.

    Simple solution:
    Run BT2, copy /etc/X11/xorg.conf to usb/HD
Run BT3 replace /etc/X11/xorg.conf with copy from BT2

    Run startx
    =JOY!

thats because bt2 uses VESA. Have you tried booting BT3 in VESA mode. Should be the same.

Good idea, I'll do that for my alsaconf too as the soundcards also stopped working.
