    i think the difference stands in the fact that you would better wander around with an usb stick instead of the live cd?

    I think he's refering to the size difference, i think the USB version has more apps where as the CD ISO is cut down to fit.

    I am not sure what the exact differences are, maybe someone can enlighten me.

    Compiz is not the only thing. USB version also got kernel sources (so virtualbox support), and a number of extra (non pentesting) goodies, like amarok, thunderbird...
