I have a little bit of a problem and no matter how many forums i read or google searches i do, i cant seem to find a solution.
I am trying to use aircrack and airodump or kismet, and bt2. The problem is i have an HP dv6000. Obviously the integrated wireless card isnt going to work(not that i even tried). And it has not port for a PCMCIA or Cardbus wireless card. And from what I have read neither kismet nor airodump will work with any USB Wireless card. So for now I am at a loss as to what to do. If there is a way to get BT2 to work that would be good, but I am much more interested in finding a way to use a program through Windows, seeing as I am still learning UNIX/LINUX and understand next to nothing about them.

Dude! if you don't have a PCMIA slot and cannot search the Aircrack compatability. What do you want us to do? buy you a new laptop?
Just search for USB compatible or go to the stickys , just browse around, even if you google you will find.

Let me simplify the question....Is there a USB wireless card that will do raw monitoring and with work kismet or airodump? all i want to know. And yes i searched around and could not find an answer to that question.

Ya, been to those multiple times. Incase you didnt notice, there is not a single tested card on there that is USB and is compatible with Windows or Airodump for that matter.
