Cannot connect...

Ok, I DID read the threads in "wireless" looking to solve my problem, I did find one of somebody with the same problem, but the solution did not fix mine.

I am using a Belkin Wifi G usb adapter.

I connect to my neighbors router to access internet (I pay him $10 bucks a month to do so, so it works for both of us)

My main OS is Mandriva, and i can connect no problem with that

In BT, Most of the time it has a terrible signal (or none at all) and will not let me connect

There is no encryption.

I've also googled it, but no luck for doing it in BT

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.



P.S. When i finally get the energy to get bank account, i will gladdy donate
(not alot, though, im kinda broke) but because i do admire what you guys are doing here.

I have checked through almost all the threads. I found 2 related to my problem, one had a solution that did not solve my problem, the other had no answer. I use my neighbors wireless (i pay him ten bucks a month to do so) My main OS is Linux Mandriva, and I can connect fine, but in BT, it eithr sez im out of range, or if i do get a signal, It wont let me conect. And one of my USB ports wont work (but thats not bothering so much) but no internet...

Any suggestions? Thanks

That could violate your neighbors ToS with their ISP vendor..then neither one of you will have internet access. And / or they could impose a civil lawsuit upon you both. So make sure you check with his ISP before sharing the connection.

Who is your neighbors ISP?? Are you on your neighbors ISP right now?? Is it Comcast?
