Did you check the MD5 of the ISO? Did you burn at low speed? Did you check the wiki or do a forum search for that error?

oh! I always had an error like that, I burned like 3 or 4 different backtrack 2 and on different "download", I always had some bugs like that and sometimes it blocked and needed to reboot with the live cd again...
I think its more bugs than anything else!

You wil see this when you right click at the iso :
    MD5: 990940d975f13d8418b0daa175560ae0

    Try use 8x or 4x...

Verify the md5 of the iso is correct and burn it at the slowest speed possible i.e. 4x.

Check the published MD5 against the MD5 of the ISO on your drive.

If you download from this web :
    http://www.remote-exploit.org/backtrack_download.html

Choose any others you want for example here the mirror can be find from the web with MD5:
    http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/b...k/bt2final.iso
    MD5: 990940d975f13d8418b0daa175560ae0.

After download verify the MD5 above againts with the iso you already download if match so you just burn it.If not download again.
