Problems with backtrack

Hey, i'm fairly new to all of this. I have a d link rangebooster G pcmcia card (wna 2330) with the atheros chipset. I am trying to crack WEP and everything goes smoothly until it comes time to do the fakeauth attack. I issue the command (I'm using backtrack 2) and it just sits there. No output, no error, it just sits. It does nothing. the MAC address match the interface (wifi0) but it does nothing. Anybody?

everything is identical to what happens in the tut except the fakeauth command, i enter it and thats the last thing i see. no output.
