Help BT2 and ubuntu

I've searched everywhere on this forum, and though I have found many useful tips, and pieces of what I need to do, I still can't seem to get BT2 and ubuntu to dual boot, Ive followed the video but keep getting an error when I try to use qtparted. I AM AN ABSOLUTE NOOB, this is only my third day with linux, and though I've messed with partitions before, I'm still not entirely sure of what I'm doing. Note, I am not trying to install the two distros along side a windows installation, if any one can lay out how to and what order to install them, it would be much apreciated, I am sorry, to bother every one, buth thank you in advance.

Without you providing any info on the error this could be anything.

But I would bet you have not unmounted the drive and partitions first.

ok, I'm a dufus, the probelm was I wasne't able to isntall bt2 a second time, but I wase't remounting hda1 after resizing it, again sorry for the bother, but c'mon, have a litte patience with a noob without the insulting sigs'.

The sig is not an insult it is good advice

There is NOTHING wrong with his sig. It simply speaks the truth. If it offends you...do something about it to change it...LIKE LEARN HOW TO READ THE ****ING MANUAL AND DOCUMENTS BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION THAT YOU CAN SIMPLY AND QUITE EASILY FIGURE OUT YOURSELF WITH A LITTLE SELF HELP!!

Now quit wasting time arguing with us about a ****ing signature and use your time constructively to learn Linux and BT2. Cause believe me kawaiirobo, his siggy is the LEAST of your problems right now with questions like this..

Even though you had provided no information on the error, I wrote that as it is the most common thing that people forget to do.

to which I said in all honesty

Which if you were around here for a while, and saw the types of questions we get a couple of dozen times a day, you would realise that this is just plain good advice.

So you then say

Was it:

That I told you that you had given no information on the error for us to work on.

Or was it when I told you that the most common solution to this kind of problem was that people tend to forget to unmount the partitions they are working on.

Or was it that you thought my sig was aimed at you and as such I was insulting you.

Or was it when I told you It is not an insult it is good advice.

I have done nothing but be nice and try to help you here.
Please show me where I was being a JERK or INSULTING because I cannot see it.

Yeah your right mate, I just couldn't see how I was being a jerk and insulting, and was just curious to find out. That's all.
