X11 GUI starts but cursor is hung

I've installed BT4-r1 on a USB and I'm using Katana as the USB boot. I select BT and it comes up fine, in command mode. I startx and it appears to start fine but the mouse is hung after it comes up. Has anyone run into this type of issue.

you may want to let everyone know the steps that you have followed trying to fix this, the type of mouse in question (USB, PS2, trackpad, etc), the questions you have after researching your issue via google, etc.

random "help me, i'm broken" posts don't do so well around here.

If you do manage to resolve this issue, please update this thread and let us know what you did. I'm not having this issue so there is no need for me to research this but i would like to know however (in the case that i run into this problem) the steps involved in resolving this issue that you would've found. Maybe in future if i have this issue and i google it, this post may be at the top of the list.

Hi there. i'm having the same problem with my bt4 r1 once i start X, the mouse won't respond ( i'v tried diferent usb mouse .. ) btw lsusb shows my mouse

don't know if it could matter, but i've copied the iso in a partition and by grub2 i'm loading the proper kernel ( Howto use backtrack4 from hard disk with Grub2 | Chmouel Blog )
