    Default lwl3945 BT4 R1 Problems

After upgrading my onboard wireless card Intel 3945ABG with iwl3945 driver is not detected.
(iwl3945 - [phy0]SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory)

    My alfa awus036H works perfectly.

My hawking dish with chipset ZyDAS 1211 and zd1211rw drivers are also not detected.
(zd1211rw - [phy2]SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory)

    Everything else works great..

    regards

My iwl3945 works great with the R1 release. Post some more debugging information such as the output of "dmesg" after a boot ,or after trying to load your card (pastebing is best).
Also make sure your wifi hardware switch is turned on.

I'm getting the same error. Dmesg included below - error at the very bottom:

    Linux version 2.6.34 (root@b - Anonymous - MHSA4sE6 - Pastebin.com

MOD EDIT: Posted output to pastebin.

    UPDATE:

I use a Compaq Presario V3000. I found a temporary solution to this problem, to turn the wireless on my laptop, there is a switch to activate the wireless and bluetooth, they are active simultaneously. Unfortunately at this BackTrack R1, it seems the kernel does not enable them. So I got to activate it manually.

replace the value at /sys/class/rfkill/state to 1

    value 0 -> disable
    value 1 -> enable

    before:
    Code:
    root@bt:/sys/class/rfkill# cat rfkill*/state
    0
    0
    0
    root@bt:/sys/class/rfkill#
    after:
    Code:
    root@bt:/sys/class/rfkill# cat rfkill*/state
    1
    1
    1
    0
    root@bt:/sys/class/rfkill#
    and everything is back smoothly

I have the same problem. I am running a Lenovo X60s which has an Intel Pro Wireless 3945 abg. Someone stated to copy the firmware file from the DVD to my local hard drive. I did that with no success.

When I try to bring the interface up I get the following:
    root@bt:~# ifconfig wlan0 up
    SIOCSIFFLAGS: Unknown error 132

    root@bt:~# tail /var/log/dmesg
input: ThinkPad Extra Buttons as /class/input/input6

    hda_intel: probe_mask set to 0x1 for device 17aa:2010
    HDA Intel 0000:00:1b.0: irq 30 for MSI/MSI-X
HDA Intel 0000:00:1b.0: setting latency timer to 64

    ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team

Wired connection is working like a champ. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
