    Default bt4 problem!!EMERGENCY!!!

    hello well here is the case
    i have installed bt4 final edition and i was using them for 3 days normally
    but today i turned off my laptop and when i turned it on i got this

    please i dont want to format my pc and i have installed too many things and i have important files.
    if anyone knows how to fix it like it was before or format them without touching the packages and the files i got please tell me!!!

    Why is this an emergency?

    That error message indicates that the system cannot find the disk holding your boot partition. What, if anything changed before this error started happening? Also, have you Googled this error? There is plenty of relevant information out there to help you understand what is happening here.

    The important question is what did you do while using Backtrack?

    Some things should not be played around with without proper knowledge.
    Linux and especially Backtrack is not nearly as forgiving as Windows.
    You should definately know what you are doing.

    Boot a live iso from CD (or USB) and check the /etc/fstab.
    I'm guessing there is a typo in there since it tries to mount 'none' from /dev.
    This could be your swap partition since that's (by default) the only one with a 'none' mount point.

    well i already formated my drive but i think that the problem was that i added ubuntu repositories on sources list and updated
