First have you checked the MD5 CHecksum, since you can boot on the Live Cd i don't see any problem with the CD or Driver, Maybe you need to check your BIOS for harddisk configuration.

Try doing what the error tells you to do after checking the integrity of the iso you burned from.
Just because the disk boots, doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong with it. The problem area could be anywhere in about 90% of the disk and it would still boot without any problems showing.
HD is OK
DVD is OK (I burn several DVDs)
DVD-Drive is OK (i try various drives)
This problem is only with BT , i installed Ubuntu 9.10 on same hardware without problems.

I think you may have missed the point of balding_parrots post. He is saying that the BackTrack DVD you burned might be bad. Nowhere in your response did you address that. Check the MD5sum of the downloaded file and reburn the DVD at the slowest speed.
