    Default Problem with ARP packages

    Hi ,
I have troubles with my AWUS036H and BackTrack 4 prefinal version. I have installed BackTrack 4 prefinal version with VMware Player 3.

    When I type: “ aireplay-ng -3 -b "ApMAC " -h "MyMAC" wlan0 ” I do not get back ARP packages back.
    The answer is:
“ 07:29:16 Waiting for beacon frame (BSSID: 00:1C:10:A4:32:7D) on channel 6
    Saving ARP requests in replay_arp-0110-072916.cap
You should also start airodump-ng to capture replies.
Read 3005 packets (got 0 ARP requests and 13 ACKs), sent 0 packets...(0 pps) “

Can somebody explain me what is wrong?

How is with drivers for this device (AWUS036H) ? This device has integrated chipset Realtek RTL8187L , are they included in BT4-pf ?

    nice greeting, d

I don't think VMware can emulate your wireless card.
I'm not sure but I think you can't use aircrak in VMWare.

Actually this info is wrong. VMware works very well with USB devices, it won't just work when you are using built-in devices (pci and such).

    1) Does wlan0 refers to wireless interface in monitor mode? Maybe it should be mon0?

    2) If the -3 option in aireplay-ng doesn't work then you should try a different method. Aircrack-ng site has allot of informations about that. Start reading my friend denzl_geek.
