    Unhappy Intel 3945 hardware strangeness.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, if it isn't could a mod move it to the proper place?

I have an intel 3945 mini-pcie card that is recognized and usuable in one machine but not in another. I have tested this. In laptop A it is detected and useable in backtrack 4 pre final. When I placed the card in laptop B it was not detected by backtrack. It didn't show up in dmesg, or when I ran lspci.

The strange thing is that when i return the card to laptop A, it is recognized and functions appropriately.

Has anyone else run across this problem? I have tried google, but have not had any success.
