Back track 4 No sound !!

Hello
after searching google
the possible failure of my back track
The sound does not work
although Root
and I am desperate because I need the sound
I read this post, I've done everything
I have reinstalled backtrack and've done it again
but the problem is
and not to do ...

Have you really tried this?! I know this works:

SuspectZero try this man :

Go to the alsa website ( wxx.alsa-project.org ) and download the latest stable version of the "alsa-driver".save this file to your Desktop.

Install the tools necessary for compiling by running the following command

sudo apt-get install build-essential

Extract the alsa-driver file and enter the new folder by running


cd Desktop
tar xjf alsa*
cd alsa*


To compile and install the driver you need to run three simple commands as follows


./configure
make
sudo make install


and thats it. Reboot and see if it works.

Hi, i found the answer on Google, thanx Google!
Do this:

sudo nano /etc/group

then search for this line:

audio:x:29:

and add your login after that line:

audio:x:29:kamachi

And reboot pc

Hey, can't get sound working in BT4. Tried both of the solutions in this thread to no avail, unless I'm just doing something stupid. Alsa drivers d/l'd compiled and installed fine, the sudo nano /etc/group didn't show me anything. Searching for the text to add my login to doesn't find anything. Kmix just shows a blank box next to current mixer and there are no options to choose from. Idk. Ideas?
