Unhappy Backtrack4 somehow turned into Ubuntu

I just finished booting "backtrack4 pre-release" on my computer, then I did some updating and when I restarted the computer It was "Ubunutu" ????

    How did this happen?

I did NOT install Ubuntu, i was just updating my computer??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you update with the Ubuntu repositories?

I don't know if this caused your problem, but it has caused problems for me.

    THanks,
It would probably not be the program but rather the repositories that you used.
BTW intentionally using the wrong repos, will not get you much support around here.
Might be best to re-do your setup.

hxxp://archive.offensive-security(dot)com pwnsauce main microverse macroverse universe multiverse

If is comes from the domain mentioned above then yeah it's probably official.

    There, that should help.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
