    Talking Recording to HDD Training Videos



    I would like to keep in safe place in my HDD my favorite training videos.

    For now I can only see them and pry to find them again tomorow !!

    I will assume you mean save videos from the web, in which case I suggest you google how to save video's from the web - considering a lot of websites attempt to obfuscate these sorts of things, plugins are usually a necessity.
    Still not underestimating the power...

    Under windows, I use Internet Download Manager. It offers a button above each flash video to download it.

    What's windows?

    Watch the flash video. Once finished don't close the browser window. Go to /tmp and the video file will be there. Just copy it to your folder of choice and rename it as .flv

    You can play it from firefox with Ctrl+O (no controls) or use a media player.

    Not every player will work (Camtasia doesn't) but many do.

    Last but not least, respect copyright.

    The firefox extention I've found is not compatible with my firefox v3.0.11
    But I will try the /tmp solution.
