Power went off during Nessus install.. now I can't boot
I know you guys don't support Nessus, as it's not in the repo. But, all I'm asking is is there a way to remotely remove a pkg using a command like chroot? I have ubuntu installed on my laptop, so I have linux available. I'd rather not completely redo my flash-drive's persistent partition. I put a lot of work into that BT.
I've been working on using chroot for the past 2 hours, and I got so far as getting apt-get working, but dpkg doesn't seem to be able to find any packages in the system, as I am remotely accessing it, most likely.
Any help would be appreciated.
Note: My flash drive won't boot in live persistent mode, because it hangs at "Starting Nessus". So, I know it's a result of the interrupted install.
Thanks in advance.

chances are, nessus is started via either /etc/default or /etc/init.d. I'd check those first and once found, I'd either disable it or move the file to some other location so that it won't load nessus at boot.
