    Default Internet connection

    hey guys,
    i'm a totaly noob on linux , i have only worked with windows until yet.
    (i only used some live cd like knoppix,open suse,ubuntu)
    also , because of my age , my english isn't so good.
    i managed to install backtrack 4 pre dual with my windows.
    but i can't get into innternet ,it hasn't got a connection.
    also kismet don't work (same problem)
    how can i start a connection.
    i have a dell studio 15.
    i have a normal lan adapter and a intel wifi link 5300 for w-lan
    can you help?

    Wow the way you structured your post above is so pretty, unfortunately I don't really understand what it is you are saying. A little less egregious use of the carriage return key in favor of commas and other punctuations may help.
    In addition posting command you have used and their subsequent output may help.

    Get A Book On Linux

    If you have ZERO knowledge on any form of *nix, you need to start somewhere else. This is not a spoonfeeding community that will hold your hand through your diaper days learning linux.

    One of the forum rules that you are supposed to read states several good internet resources on learning this subject as well.
