Hi,
Did you search on forum before posting ?
Be more explicit, give us drivers version and command lines used.

Need a little more info to help out. Is startx working for you and can you get to a browser to go to the ati website? I had some problems with ati drivers myself. Go to their website and they will have a list of the video cards supported for linux and which driver is best. For me (since my card was older) I had to use the 9.3 catalyst drivers.
I think its actually:
But the other might work, I just used backtrack-atiCode:sudo apt-get install backtrack-ati
I have the same problem. My laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470 with 256MB. I have BT4 PF installed on my harddrive via VMware Workstation. I've tried both links in this forum: "apt-get install ati-drivers" & "apt-get install backtrack-ati," and even downloaded the drivers directly from the ATI website. All with no luck. After I reboot the virtual machine and start x, all I get is a blank screen.![]()
You don't need to install the ATI drivers in a virtual machine, since it doesn't (directly) use that card.
