BT4 Does Not Boot

After doing many reinstalls, BT4 just refuses to boot. I have edited the lilo correctly as far as I know. After I execute lilo everything seems ok until it says One warning issued. I then reboot and the computer hangs at verifying dmi data. What is the problem?

Well some more info might be good.

For instance how does your lilo look like. Can you boot from a livecd?\
What is the warning issued?

I am dual booting it with vista. I have fixed the lilo it no longer gives me an error. When the computer boots up the vista bootloader automatically starts vista, if I set the bt boot partition to the active partition it just hangs at Verifying DMI Pool Data. And yes I can boot the live cd.
