Firefox update

I noticed that the version of Firefox in BT4 beta is 3.0.5. I don't seem to be able to update it to the latest version - 3.0.10. Any ideas?

I suggest finding out why you can't update it. Once you know that, you can update it.

FIRST, bring up firefox,
Help-> check for updates
---and no updates were found --- returned

Also, I don't seem to be able to remove firefox using:
apt-get remove firefox
then try to re-install it.

And how did you install BT4? What are those settings?

why dont u reload the repos in synaptic then mark all updates :S

well for some reason firefox check updates has problems from jumping from an old version to a new version like what your problem is 3.0.5 to 3.10. did you do a check updates or did you use a command prompt with "apt-get update"
then "apt-get upgrade"?

(just watch out for the kde thing though)

I tried both:
-check for update
- apt-get update

None of them work. can't do a "apt-get upgrade" , after that startx won't work.

Yes, I did download the source and re-install it ...
And, was able to install 3.0.10 latest version of firefox...

BTW, have u tried to do the same?
