Default Mac OS X and Ettercap

Not a Backtrack related question, not sure if it's allowed in these forums, but I didn't have anywhere better to post it.

I have Ettercap 0.73-NG installated. I've got the ipfw redirection working in etter.conf, and I'm running as the root user. I've run it without specifying targets, and with specifying targets.

I can sniff unencrypted passwords fine, and I've used Wireshark to verify that the redirection is working, but I can't sniff secure traffic.

The same thing seems to happen on Backtrack. Does Backtrack 2/3 use iptables or ipchains?

Thanks. I wasn't sure, I'd been alternating between them.

Well most likely since Kernel version 2.4 you will have iptables instead of ipchains.
