    Default Howtos and Tutorials

    Please post your BackTrack 3 Final Howtos and Tutorials in this sub-forum. Please start a new thread for each tutorial, with a descriptive title. Clearly written step-by-step instructions are appreciated. Don't assume everyone already knows how to do something; if there is doubt, write it out. Finally, be sure to update the Wiki with your tutorial!

    Default link is not working

    I clicked on the above link.
    I am new to linux & BT. I was wondering where can someone find information on how to use the tools included with BackTrack. I looked through some of the how-to posts but did not see what I was looking for. Is there any pdf's, manuals on how to use BT. I am trying to move into a security admin with my current employer. I am trying to learn how to check my network for vulnerbilities. Any guidance would be greately appreciated.

    There are tons of tutorials and how to's both here, the wiki and the internet in general.
    You just have to search for them, a good place to start would be the tutorials and how to section of the forum. Also if you expect any real help be specific.
    I need a tutorial is not very helpful.

    Here is a video which was very helpful to me when beginning my knowledge in Linux/Backtrack 3. It was the most easiest to follow tutorial that I have ever come across for doing simple WEP Cracking.

    www youtube com/watch?v=Y5Oy_aOyl98

    This is especially helpful for those who are not only unfirmiliar with WEP Cracking, but also for those who plan on buying or have an AWUS036H Wireless USB Adapter.

    1. Wiki has a new url -> wiki.remote-exploit.org/backtrack/wiki
    2. Wiki cannot be edited since u need a trac-account for that
    3. support@remote-exploit.org --> dead, so no way to contact the trac-support? oO

    so... what remains is posting tutorials ONLY to the forum in here?
    or post to the offsec-wiki?
