this command works only in LiveCD... if you are using other distro to install BT4 you better use LiveCD :)

The reason of not working GRUB is probably this command above because /media/cdrom0/boot...

imo best internal wifi would be atheros, works straight out of the box. If you want to buy a new laptop then you should buy one that you like visually and which has good specifications... don't focus...

please paste here your "kernel" line, or even whole /menu.lst

once the output of this command was something like "Mount point doesn't exist" so I had to create it typing

looks like you made a mistake (or me :) )

in VM you can use only external wireless cards (USB)

you have to wait for new kernel or for BT5 :) anyway, patch doesn't exist at the moment...
btw. could you paste more info about your usb adapter please ? I'm going to buy one with the same chipset...

so what's the way for real hacker if drivers don't exist? :) I tried injection with Ubu 8.04, 8.10, BT3, BT4beta, BT4 pre-final, even with different kernels and exotic drivers it wasn't working :)...

Injection for 5100 doesn't work at all... I spent a lot of days and nights trying to fix this problem, better way is to buy a usb adapter...

I spent whole night trying to crack WEP of my AP with BT4 pre-final and Intel 5100... but without success...

you better wait for BT5 :P don't waste your time ;D

did you try to boot this BT4 on other laptop ?

I also have 5100 and ASUS laptop...
