I was looking into trying to run swapon at boot but it seems that the swapfile seems to work without any additional commands anyway. Does this make sense? Does the bootloader just pick it up anyway....

I first used your usb installer to install bt to my usb. Then loaded bt. I used qtparted to reduce the size of the fat32 partition and then fdisk to create the second partition and then mkefs.ext2. ...
