ahhh.... good times, good times.
i think milk just came out of my nose....
i was actually looking for something as concise as this.
good post, OP.
thnx.
?
sounds like the system thinks shift is active. what happens if you actually hold down shift?
try a different keymap maybe? just thinking out loud here.
your dual booting question makes no...
in all fairness;

and i'm sure they meant "all their hard work". :p
i dont think that the issue is that someone is ripping from BT, that has happened...
i would attempt to resize/create/format any partitions manually prior to starting the BT install process. try using a GParted boot CD or similar.
it's md5 hashing, Renek. it's unlikely at the extreme that several individual failed downloads on various systems would all share a common md5 hash.
that being said, @OP: you DID verify the hash...
if i understand you correctly, bakru, you are asking for some sort of information on how to do what skinnypuppy recommended (updating the kernel and compat-wireless) that can be understood by a linux...
HD passwords are embedded into the drive in such a way as to be virtually indestructible. to be frank, unless this is a dire situation, replace the drive.
i would research the Belkin N300's abilities/problems with promiscuous mode, if it were me...but that is just one option and i have been horribly wrong before (just ask my ex)
spoilsport.
;)
ifconfig -a to get a complete list of interfaces. what does your system actually recognize?
also, what drivers have you installed and how do you know that it is "recognized and connected" ? ...
when possible, please use manpages for info on tool use.

there are plenty of recovery CDs out there, such as http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page. However, if you actually blew away the partition that Win7 was in, I'm afraid you have bigger issues.

and don't respond to your own posts please, just edit them.... otherwise the blue meanies come along and thump you in the head.
and-and...ndiswrapper is not your friend. you should...
...taught Chronos how to tell time....
witty, classically obscure and yet germane. nice.
:D
Careful, Thorn. You are showing your age (as if your Prisoner avatar wasn't enough...). I have fond memories of wasted youth with Magilla and company.
:)
totally unofficial, naturally...
but in addition to AA's perfect advice, ypou could cast your gaze here:...
xorg.conf is being depreciated, for the most part (at least, they are trying). however, if you create it, X should process it.
give that a shot...
?
odd.
try this:
cd /pentest/web/w3af
./w3af_gui
what happens next? by "tools didn't appear", you mean
Tools > Fuzzy/Encode/Export/Compare/Proxy aren't there or are grayed out?
glad you went the extra mile on posting information that has absolutely nothing to do with backtrack, clockbroke. that is a really cool thing for you to do. thank god the OP doesn't have to...
now, archangel... lets be nice. in addition to letting him know that he has no business whatsoever using BT, we should also go the extra mile and confirm for him that yes, he has certainly deleted...
your computer has been infected with some sort of persistent virus. unless i miss my guess it is organic in nature and highly resistant to eradication.
;)
gnome desktop doesn't ship with BT. ...
