Re: Changing a program memory to jump to shellcode

use "jmp esp" from user32.dll or another process that is likely to be running, to overwrite eip. Backtrack has a tool called pattern_create you can use to generate a unique string. Use that string to...

Re: how to make custom backtrack ISO?

Why not run BackTrack as a Persistent USB? Then all the changes you make will stick.

Re: Uninstalling BT5 R3 or going back to BT5?

You can always put in a BT5 disc, wipe the BT5R3 partition and reinstall. Just keep in mind that BT5 is no longer supported.

What tools specifically? You can always check the man pages or google the specific tool. Is there something particular you would like to know about?

    Re: BURG monumental mistake.

I'm not overly proficient with the GRUB CLI, but have you tried typing "boot"?
Pretty sure it should boot the last used OS... Could be wrong though. Anyone feel free to correct me.

Re: Is it possible to do this? (Nvg510)

    Re: Cant open skype

This might also have something to do with it...
Either get the 64 bit version of Skype for Linux, or install a 32 bit version of BackTrack... But yeah, shouldn't need Skype for Backtrack anyway.
  22. Re: Is there NO Way To Get The Internal Mic Workng on Backtrack??

Is it feasible to install BT as a VM and then use the host to do the video and audio recording? I think this might be the easiest solution. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Nothing. But the idea is that you connect wirelessly to the AP on the host, and then bridge the connection to the VM, thus wirelessly connecting BT to the network.

    Re: Emesene n Such

You don't "uninstall" backtrack. You format the hard drive and re-install whatever OS you want. In your case, Windows. If pressing F12 on boot didn't take you to a boot options menu and allow you to...
