Thanks, that fixed it.
Just go knock on your neighbors door and ask him to fire up Itunes or Hulu.
is it a crappy laptop? Have you tested the memory? Is it overheating? Is it running out of space after airodumping?
Can you give us a little HOWTO?
I believe that was part of the steps I took yesterday, but still nada.
lol I googled all day yesterday trying this and that, this fails for me too.
Use the links at the bottom of the page, not the others. The others are for slax/slackware which will confuse the S out of you.
I found this very funny :D :D
Start--> System--> Synaptic.
But no, you shouldn't be using this.
There might be an easier way of doing this, but this is what I did and it works pretty good.
First of all, I highly recommend this thread BEFORE doing changing the startup services that way you...
I get this...

I did have an Issue. My Services folder isn't showing up in the menu. I've used kmenuedit and google'd around. I've deleted it and re-added it, still won't come up. Any ideas?
EDIT! Nevermind, I...
This is great. Awesome Post. Thanks for taking the time to track these down.
From reading the OP's post I believe he is talking about leprechauns and unicorns. You can't use these in Vmware and they are not supported in Backtrack. You can't compile the kernel on a unicorn.
The CL version is so much easier to use. Plus, you can hit the space bar and see the traffic going in.
If i thought long and hard, I could figure out the big guy, but, I'm on my first cup of joe.
Barry, how'd you afford the space for that? I thought you were supporting single moms? :)
Hopefully you had permission to do this. Also, I realize this is suppose to look professional and Techie's aren't the best spellers, but it should be THEIR not They're. If it wasn't meant to be...
Mdk3 doesn't compile well on BT4B. I found a few posts on google for MDK3 on Ubuntu and changing the make file to gcc-4.2. Bt4b has gcc-4.3.2 but still no bueno. I'm looking further into it. I'm...
If you don't like Bt4, stay on BT3. Simple solution.
I have to admit, I originally had the same feeling. There does seem to be a lot fewer tools than BT3. BUT, the under workings of it is Ubuntu which I like. I know it's the "Noob Distro" but if I...
Very cool. thanks!
Nyxistis, get off my lawn. BTW, I have WPA2, not wep.
Wow. it's been so long.
I had an issue with this
cp --preserve -R \
/{bin,dev,home,pentest,root,usr,boot,etc,lib,opt, sbin,var} /mnt/bt/
In the notes. I changed it to
cp --preserve -R...
I take no credit with this. I just tried it and it works perfect.

Instead of using the Knoppix disc, use the backtrack one. (bt3final...
