Just installed BT3 final this way with no issues. I also used this method with BT3 beta and it always worked great. I just renamed my old changes folder for reference.
Thanks again to Balding...
I am not sure why, but i use
would that make a difference?
hey man, no one is perfect. I know I am far from it. I have been a member here for a while and haven't posted much. What I have posted could also be considered fairly useless. But by reading, a...
It's hard to tell what's going on by your post, but let's assume you have captured a bunch of packets with airodump in a file called "dump"
Try keeping it simple with
aircrack-ng -z...
all I do is run
airodump-ng wlan0.
But, I have the RTL8187. Maybe check out the aircrack website for your card compatibility and possible driver update? Sorry I couldn't help.
Thanks SV !
downloading now. Keep up the great work !!!
edit .. it works flawlessly ! awesome
i know this has been addressed here somewhere, search around.
also post what commands you have run, card you are using, etc.
but try
airmon-ng start wlan0or
iwconfig wlan0...
just a quick thought. Is the laptop you are deauth the same one you are using to capture the handshake? Also, have you tried physically disconnecting the laptop from the AP while running...
Great work again SV. Thanks
Hey Thanks Archangel. I was just starting to try out Nmap on my network and found your tutorial. Nice work, very helpful!
Listen Smoke,
If you spent any time at all searching and reading through this forum, learning just a little about what you are doing you may have gotten some help. Frankly, I am amazed at the...
Cool, I put Open Office on all my computers long ago. It's a great alternative.
I have both the Ubiquity SRX and the Alfa AWUS036H. IMO the Alfa is a much better value. While the Ubiquity has the advantage of an atheros chipset, the tx and receive power are no better than...
Here I am minding my own business reading today's posts and all I find myself doing is laughing my ass off... You guys are hilarious. :D
did you do this step?
go to /etc/dhcpc folder and delete everything
I guess I have to wait for the US shop...
for Kismet
edit usr/local/etc/kismet.conf
add this line
source=rt8180,wlan0,ALFA
These are the results from the injection test using BT3b, i have not updated the madwifi drivers
my alfa is wlan0 , the Ubiquity srx is ath2
each set for monitor mode and channel set to 6...
I want to thank Balding Parrot for this tutorial. I've been using and learning BT3b for a month or so and have neglected to say thanks.
If you follow the instructions carefully and add...
I also have the SRX, I am in the process of testing it out with aircrack in BT3b. So far it looks like all is well, but i want to confirm it all.
I also have found that this card picks up about...
to speed up packets
if you have a client attached on your network you can do
aireplay-ng -3 -b (mac of ap) -h (mac of client) ath3 (or whatever you use)
if no clients you can...
wifi0 , wifi1 .. etc. is the madwifi driver for the corresponding atheros ath0, ath1 etc
use/learn linux. you will have much more control over what you want to do.
my questions are endless, but why don't you start by listing the commands you used to capture the million packets.
I also use kismet to lock the channel of wlan0 (mine is the Alfa rlt8187 driver though). Probably not the most efficient way but it works..
