i just installed an atheros 5008 and need to know which madwifi driver i need to run, and a link - i cant navigate that site to well - so i can access the net and test my own networks security........

i have a compaq f768 laptop and am having problems booting the live dvd.....it will get to the options page and then go blank and not show the loading page unless i hit the power button and after...

atheros ar5006x on a compaq presario f768 laptop. basically its like there is no network adapter. i pull up wireless assistant and it says no devices found it will now close.:eek:

i have no eth0 devices <not found> ath0 wifi0 <not found>.

i have already tried ifconfig eth0 up, dhcpcd eth0 and nothing i had it working before i had...

:eek:my ath0 and wifi0 are not recognized wat do i do to fix this problem:eek:

i have a compaq f700, AMD Athlon x2 64bit processor, nvidia, 160g drive, and 1g of ram.....windows xp is currently installed on it....i use root toor to log in and get to the shell to try to set up...
