First things first, I googled this however I didn't find anything. To be honest, I am not quite sure what my key words should be.

I deleted /etc/init.d/postgresql-8.4 by mistake and now I can't get it back. Tried reinstalling postgresql, but the file is still missing. So now I can't start the service :(

Similar problem here. I am trying to install BT5 Gnome 32bit on my external USB HDD 320GB. I formated the drive completely to fat32 primary. Installed everything according to the wiki guide, grub...
Does it work out of the box? I also believe the awus036nh is a better card on its own, but at least in BT4 R2 I read that it has some weird glitches and issues with kernel/drives/injection

Followed the guide up to pyrit install:

Since no one seems to know what could be the problem I decided to completely wipe out the usb stick and reinstall everything all over again step by step by the Install BackTrack Persistent to USB...
It seems fstab and and clock settings also reset :( However, /etc/group for example doesn't reset as I have edited the audio string to add 'root' to get sound and it stays between reboots :confused:
