The only way i can keep the connection alive is if I load pidgin and login before it disconnects me but someone has to msg me to keep the connection open... If that can help you any.

It is backtrack3 and Wep and the wireless card is an ALFA 500mw AWUS036H this is not a new issue i would just like to resolve this issue so i can explore this great OS

Ok when i first load backtrack I goto wireless assistant and put my home ap key in and hit connect as soon as it connects it drops and asks if i want to reconnect it weird and i just cant figure it...

Im having serious issues staying connected to the net with the wireless assistant... is there anyone that can point me to the right path of being able to keep the connection alive?
