    If you don't want to show everybody that you are booting Backtrack 5, you can change the bootsplash screen to Ubuntu default like this:

    unfortunately I can't get psnuffle to work in BT5 / MSF3.

    This is what happens:

    This solved the problem for me (BT5 Gnome 64bit on 2010 27" iMac with ATI Radeon HD 5700):

    # wget http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/ati-driver-installer-11-5-x86.x86_64.run
    # chmod +x...
